The CCS is responsible both for the management of GMDSS service activities and not for customers who have signed a management contract or have a service agreement and for occasional customers, sailing near one of the SIRM service points in Italy and worldwide. All requests for service, spare parts, new equipment or airtime are managed with an internal process and assigned to the specialized team able to offer the best response to our customers.
The Service Coordination Centre team, in-house technicians and international partners make every effort to best resolve our customers’ requests for service, maintenance and support, with a specific response for large commercial transport fleets, passenger ships, fishing vessels and leisure boats.

Assistance and maintenance of on-board electronic equipment with a team of experts and an extensive network of partners to support our customers in major ports around the world.
IRM Italia is authorized by the Ministry of Economic Development to exercise the function of Account Authority (AAIC) with the identification ‘IU02’, in order to offer merchant ships the management services of the radio station and accessory equipment forming part of the mandatory instrumentation, the Shore Based Maintenance service and satellite traffic management. SIRM is able to provide the service for a very high number of flags and for the navigation areas A1, A2, A3 and A4.
Thanks to the constant and continuous relationship with the main international manufacturers, SIRM Italia technicians are constantly updated and certified on the main Navigation, Communication and Security equipment and are able to guarantee their installation, configuration and maintenance. SIRM Italia is also able to distribute software and firmware updates of installed and maintained products. All activities are carried out in compliance with international quality standards and according to current regulations, to ensure maximum efficiency and safety of navigation at all times.
In case of installation of new equipment, Sirm Italia technicians are able to provide support to familiarize themselves with the functionality of the systems and to ensure the necessary transfer of knowledge and competence to the on-board personnel. SIRM Italia can also provide on customer request Epirb and AIS tests, APT of VDR and LRIT activation.
